It is that time of year again when the countryside comes alive with the vibrant colors of autumn, and the air is filled with the sweet scent of apples and the warm aroma of pumpkins. As the leaves turn golden and the temperatures drop, we welcome the harvest season with open arms. One saying that has resonated with me since my toddler days is, "An apple a day keeps the doctor away." Little did I know that as I entered adulthood, my appreciation for apples would only grow.

The Diverse World of Apples

As an adult, I was pleasantly surprised by the sheer variety of apples available when I started shopping at the local market. Granny Smith, McIntosh, Gala, Spartan—these are just a few of the common ones. Each apple variety has its own unique aroma and flavor profile, making them perfect for different culinary endeavors. From snacking to baking, there's an apple for every occasion.

A Delectable Journey Through Artisan Soaps

Throughout the years, as I delved into the world of crafting artisan soaps, my love for apples found a new medium of expression. Apple soaps, in particular, have held a special place in my heart. Over time, I've had the pleasure of receiving feedback from valued customers, and I've diligently worked to address their comments and suggestions. Today, I'm thrilled to introduce an expanded range of apple-inspired soap creations, perfect for indulging in the essence of this season.

Speaking of treats, there's nothing quite like the classic apple pie. It's the stuff of dreams—sweet and warm apples, a hint of cinnamon, all nestled in a flaky crust that's just the right level of indulgence. I've baked quite a few apple pies in my time, and I must say, they're best enjoyed warm with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream. It's a comforting dessert that embodies the essence of the harvest season.

Exploring Local Farms

For my dear local companions in Montreal, who share my passion for this joyful season, I'd like to suggest a delightful outing with friends and family. Spend a day over the weekend at one of our nearby local farms for a fun outdoor activity. Apple picking, pumpkin carving, and taking in the beauty of the autumn landscape are wonderful ways to create cherished memories.

Here are a few local farms where you can embrace the season:

[La Ferme Guinn]: 2495 Perrot Boul, Notre-Dame-De-L'ile-Perrot QC J7V8P4

[Verger Richard Legault]: 425, rue Binette, Saint-Joseph-du-Lac (QC) J0N 1M0

[Verger Domaine Lafrance]: 1473 Principal Ch, Saint-Joseph-Du-Lac QC J0N1M0

As we step into the harvest season, let's savor the simple pleasures—crisp apples, warm pies, and the beauty of nature all around. Whether it's through indulgent soaps or a day spent at the orchard, there's no shortage of ways to celebrate this bountiful and joyful season.

Go out and enjoy the crisp temperature and Eat delicious apples!
